Host your next FUNdraiser with us!
As a community bookstore, we aim to provide a positive cultural
experience for all of our customers. As part of this mission, we provide a
FUNdraising program for schools and non-profit groups in our communities to
raise money for items such as books and resources for libraries or funding for
community initiatives or community based organizations. We also partner with
corporations who are fundraising for their favourite charity. This letter outlines
the goals of our fundraising program and aims to make all relevant information
readily available to help you plan for a successful FUNdraiser in an Indigo or
Chapters store in YOUR community! This program aims at one purpose; to help
your group raise funds.
Our store team will be there to support your organization by providing staff
who are knowledgeable and friendly and are able to make excellent books
recommendations to all of your invited guests. We will provide a cultural venue
for you to host your FUNdraiser and most importantly take away the hassle of
ordering fundraising product and tabulating the sales afterwards -- we’ll do that
part for you!
How the Program Works
We offer organizations the opportunity to invite all of their family, friends, staff,
patrons and colleagues to a bookstore for an evening, which promotes culture
and literacy while raising money for your group. We will work with you and your
team to plan your fundraiser according to your individual needs and
specifications.
During the evening all purchases made by YOUR invited guests of books,
bargain books, gifts, magazines, music, video and stationary will be processed
under a specific number.
Based on eligible purchases made by your invited guests, you will then
have two options;
Gift Certificates representing 20% of the purchases
or
Cheque representing 10% of the purchases.
We have two periods during which we book fundraisers for schools/groups in our
community. (Exceptions will be managed individually)
a) Beginning second week of January to the first week in December
b) The time periods for all fundraisers are 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. (unless
otherwise arranged with the store management team)
