Fashion this Fall is Fabulous

Over the knee leather boots in suede or leather are the essential for this fall. Tuck skinny pants or shiny tights into them.

Chunky knits in this season’s more subtle shades work especially well as a foundation for bright splashes of accent colours. Wear big sweaters with a thick leather belt around your waist.

Military inspired fashion is the rule. Brass or silver buttons with Cossack style finishes. For a rock chic take on the military look wear with skinny pants.

Leather is the hot commodity for the wardrobe this year. Wear leather pants, jackets, belts, corsets, belts, hats, gloves…anything in leather is scorching hot.

Ripped jeans are making a huge comeback. And don’t be shy—the more ripped and torn the better.

What’s Hot in Beauty

Fall fashion for your face

The smoky eye is a perfect compliment for this fall’s menswear look. Use blacks, greys and browns and smudge with a pencil. This dramatic look is synonymous with sexy and beautiful.

Do dark, dramatic and short fingernails. Wear nail colours such as navy, aubergine and slate gray, but do so on nails that are short. Shape your nail to follow the contour of your fingertip.

Choose contoured, chiseled cheekbones. To achieve this look, use two colors of blush. Use a shade that is one or two shades darker than the skin tone and brush it just under the cheekbone. Layer with a soft, rosy hue to the apple of the cheek.

Lip colours for this season include plum, berry, and wine shades, as well as muted reds in your lip colour palate.

What’s Hot in Home Fashion

Fall fashion starts at Home

Bring earthy colours home. Look for rich earthy mineral browns and blacks when updating your look at home. Blacks, browns and grays lay the foundation for brighter accent tones such as blue, purple and/or green.

Diversify your look at home. Look to influences such as Asia, Mexico and old World Europe for art for your walls and surfaces.  Try to create an opulent feel for an indulgent sense of luxury at home.

Look for the best. Choose one piece you really love as opposed to a number of pieces you will tire of by the time Christmas rolls around. Look for interesting, structural art objects, lamps and furniture accents in silk, leather, bouclé, taffeta, floral, glass, metals and exotic woods.
