24 HOURS A DAY, 365 DAYS A YEAR

Billings Bridge Centre’s Security works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our customers. The Security department has full-time & part-time security officers, supervisors and one manager. Along with close circuit television surveillance (CCTV), and crime prevention and intervention, our security personal is responsible for: 

SECURITY PATROLS:

  • Marked Vehicle
  • Foot Patrol
  • Bicycle Patrol 

SECURITY SERVICES:

  • Lost & Found
  • Parking Enforcement
  • Emergency Response 

OUR GUARDS ARE TRAINED IN:

  • Emergency First Aid & CPR
  • Oxygen Administration
  • Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
  • WHMIS 
  • Mental Health & Dementia Awareness
  • Public Relations & Crisis Intervention
  • Lawful Arrest Procedures
  • OADA (Access for Ontarians with Disabilities) 

Our Security acts as an important link to the Ottawa Police Service, Emergency Medical Services, Ottawa Fire Department and other services that may be required at Billings Bridge Centre. EMPLOYMENT

Are you interested in working as a member of the Billings Bridge Centre Security Service?  If so, please submit your resume and cover letter, specifying if you desire part-time or full-time, to the security office.  Resumes are accepted on a continuous basis, with interviews held as positions become available. All applicants must hold a valid Ontario Security License.  Security experience  (preferably in an office/retail environment) and post-secondary education (Criminology; Law and Security; or Police Foundations) is preferred.

Our Security team is comprised of a combination of full and part time security guards. Security monitors the Centre 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and enforces our code of conduct so everyone can enjoy their shopping experience. Lost and Found items may also be turned in or retrieved at the Customer Service Centre. Please call on them whenever you need assistance.
